Gransfors Bruks Large Splitting Axe
The Gransfors Bruks Large Splitting Axe is designed for splitting chunks of wood, "rounds". The thick
part of the concave, wedge shaped axe head literally powers apart the grain of the wood. The Gransfors
Large Splitting Axe weighs 3 1/2 lbs with a 3" face. It has a 27" hickory handle with circular groves at the grip,
and a steel collar. The Gransfors Large Splitting Axe comes with a grain-leather sheath. This axe is
not designed for pounding on a wedge. Please see the Gransfors Splitting Maul below for use with a wedge.

Gransfors Bruks Small Splitting Axe
The Gransfors Bruks Small Splitting Axe can conveniently be managed with one hand making it ideal for your outdoor
camping activities. It is forged and ground to a concave, quite thin blade at the bit. This design helps
the axe go quickly into the wood splitting efficiently when the thicker part hits and pushes the wood apart.
Gransfors Bruks Small Splitting Axe has a 2 1/2" face. The head weighs 2lbs. It has a 20" hickory handle with circular
grooves at the grip and a steel collar near the head. It comes with a grain-leather sheath. The poll on the
Splitting Axe is not designed for pounding on a wedge. The Gransfors Bruks line includes a Splitting Maul for that
purpose (see below).

Gransfors Bruks Splitting Maul / Hammer Poll Axe
Gransfors Bruks Splitting Maul is designed for splitting apart large chunks of wood, "rounds". Gransfors
Maul has a heavier head than the splitting axes with a poll designed for pounding a splitting wedge.
Gransfors Maul head weighs 5 1/2lbs and it has a 2 1/2" face. Its 31" long
hickory handle has circular grooves at the grip and a protective steel collar near the head. It comes with a
grain-leather sheath.

Gransfors Bruks Small Forest Axe
The Gransfors Small Forest Axe is the same size as the specially designed Hunters Axe but with a more traditional pattern
and poll. It has a thin blade. The handle is long enough to allow powerful chopping, but not too long to allow it
to fit into a rucksack, or the back of a car or boat. It is practical for splitting small sticks for your fire or cutting
small-diameter limbwood for tinder. Gransfors Small Forest Axe has a 3 1/4" face, a 9" hickory handle, and the head weighs 1 1/2 lbs.
