Demineralization and Remineralization of your teeth enamel is constantly ocurring in your mouth. Demineralization is caused by strong, stable acids in the foods you eat, and those that are produced by the bacteria in your mouth. Demineralization dissolves minerals already in your teeth, resulting in weakened enamel and eventually you have a cavity.
