Kaito KA1103 Radio
The KA1103 is an amazing little radio. It is widely regarded as having reception and clarity equal
to radios 2 to 3 times its cost. The 1103 has PLL (phase-locked loop), SSB (single sideband) and
dual conversion all in a radio costing less than $80.00.- PLL separates the frequency you are
listening to from background noise increasing clarity, pulling in weaker signals and following
station drift.
- Dual Conversion, usually only found on more expensive radios, helps eliminate
"image" interference which gives you better station selectivity on SW and AM bands.
- SSB lets you
listen to LSB (lower sideband) and USB (upper sideband) transmissions. These are usually voice

coverage from 100-29,999KHz with 1KHz step adjustment. This includes SW/MW/LW/SSB bands. If you have

The narrow setting reduces interference from adjacent frequencies, while wide gives you the best quality on
