assortment of baby carrying pharaphenial over the years, from backpacks, to
front packs, to African strips. I found slings to be the best combination of comfort, ease of use, and versatility.
As the sling molds to your baby, you don't have to worry
about a small infant sliding around excessively, or having to stuff blankets and towels around to aid
stability. If baby falls asleep the sling holds him securely so you don't have to worry about his
head swinging uncontrollably back and forth with your movements. In a sling your baby can be
carried in an almost unlimited number of positions avoiding cramped legs or cut off circulation.
I found
Slings to be easy on my back
and shoulders avoiding aches and fatigue. Slings are easier than back packs to get
your baby in and the pack on without assistance, especially as the baby grows older and

comfort a fussy little one in the process.
I found that I could easily double up, as well, with an infant in a sling and a toddler in a baby backpack for fun hikes. This also works for backpacking trips - baby in front, gear on the back. The sling is amazingly versatile
